Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena today celebrated Hanuman Jayanti here and announced a Hindutva-centric innovative ‘Apna Abhimaan, Danush-Baan’ campaign to expand the party’s reach in the national capital and other states. With the campaign, the party would be launching a massive membership drive. The Election Commission of India had allocated Dhanush-Baan (Bow and Arrow)- The symbol of Bala Saheb Thakre’s party to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Senior Shiv Sena leader and former Union Minister Anandrao Adsul along with a very large number of party workers gathered at the famous Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir. They attended attend Aarti and the 56-Bhog Prasaad Program organized, in association with the temple management on the occasion, to take blessings of Lord Hanuman for their ambitious political and electoral campaigns.
“With ‘Danush-Baan, we are taking forward the legacy of Bala Saheb Thakre with regards to Hindutva. We thought here Hanuman Jayanti is the most auspicious occasion to launch the campaign- ‘Mera Abhimaan, Danush-Baan,’ as it is so closely associated with Lord Rama who destroyed evil with this powerful weapon. Every Hindu knows the divine association of Hanuman with Lord Rama. Our message is also clear with this powerful slogan. We are reaching out to people with our Hindutva and good governance agenda. A massive membership drive would begin in Delhi and other states soon to expand our reach,” said Anandrao Adsul who was also Minister of State during the Atal Bihari Bajpayee-led NDA Government.
