Delhi East Postal Division of Department of Posts India successfully organized Tarangini 2018 – a District Level Philately Exhibition from 06th to 07th of September 2018 at National Career Service centre, Karkardooma, Delhi – 110092. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sh. Harpreet Singh, Postmaster General (Mails & BD), Delhi Circle in presence of Ms. Meenakshi Singh – Commissioner of Income Tax and Sh. Ram Vilas Chaudhary – Director (Mail & BD).
During exhibition 66 exhibits of 36 exhibitors were displayed containing some rare domestic as well as international stamps. During the exhibition, various other activities such as “On the spot drawing” as well as “Quiz competition” were also held in which approx 150 students of over 12 schools took part including 13 Disabled students. 3 Special Covers were also released during the event i.e. “Gandhi Walks” & “Monument Friends” of India City Walk and “National Career Service Centre” of the venue itself.
The exhibition was concluded on 07.09.2018 in the presence of Sh. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Postmaster General (O), Sh. Dushyant Mudgal, DPS (O) – Delhi Postal Circle, Sh. Anurag Tripathi – Secretary (CBSE) and Sh. Jainendra Kumar – Asstt. Director (Admin) National Career Service Centre. 36 participants were awarded with 09 Gold, 11 Silver and 16 Bronze Medals for various activities. Sh. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, PMG (O), appreciated the good work carried out by Sr. Supdt. of Post Offices, Delhi East Dn. and her team in successfully organizing the event.
