The Bagepalli police on Monday arrested a two peddlers from AP and recovered 6.5 kilos of Marijuana worth Rs.5 lakh from them.
The accused Venkatesh,40 from Kadiri and Venkataramana,42,from Puttaparthi were caught while the duo was waiting at Kodikonda circle in Bagepalli to deliver the consignment .
The duo had kept the packets wrapped in tapes and kept in the bootspace of the scooter.
The duo used to come to city on scooter to deliver the consignment to avoid suspicion.
The police have seized the scooter and two mobile phones from the accused and taken them into custody to ascertain the source of the drugs and the accused network in the city .
