C hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said they are running the government on the ideas of Nada Prabhu Kempegowda and 12th-century social reformer Basavanna.

Speaking at the function organised in connection with the unveiling of the statues of Kempegowda and Basavanna in front of Vidhana Soudha here on Sunday, he said Basaveshwara was a great philosopher who explained the importance of Kayaka (work).

Similarly,Nada Prabhu Kempegowda was a great ruler. The statues of these two personalities must have been installed in front of Vidhana Soudha long ago but he did not want to blame anyone.

The City of Bengaluru which is now called a silicon city and an international city has made a name in the international arena.

The CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has explained the concept of Basavanna’s ‘Anubhava Mantap to the whole world which propagated equality.

The statue of Basavanna has been installed not only in front of the High Court but also in front of Vidhana Soudha.

The Nada Prabhu Kempegowda built a city even though there was no river there.He built the markets for all the communities in the city.The Nada Prabhu implemented the ideals of Basavanna.

The CM said Union Home Minister Amit Shah is trying to unite the whole nation.He has successfully eliminated the menace of Naxalism in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

Besides,he has stamped out all anti-national forces to take the country on the path of progress.
