CP Ramachandra.D from Halasuru demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility by not only arranging for an ambulance to assist a sick bus driver and admitted him to the hospital but also by personally driving the B.M.T.C (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation),bus that was standing on the road.

This happened on Monday around 11.45 a.m when a bus driver on the Shivajinagar-Kadugodi BMTC route, fell ill in the middle of the journey and halted the bus near the Old Airport Command Hospital.

ACP Ramachandra, who was on duty assigned with the security arrangements on the Old Airport Road, noticed this and shifted the bus driver to the Bowring Hospital and also drove the mid-way halted bus from ASC centre and college to Artillery road.

Speaking to reporters he told,I noticed the bus halted on the road, causing traffic. When I went to check, the bus driver was suffering from convulsions (fits), so I arranged an ambulance, shifted the passengers to a different bus and to avoid traffic I myself drove the bus to Artillery road”.

The video capturing of the bus operation has gained immense popularity on social media, with passengers expressing their admiration and acclaim.
