Duo Engineering student killed & others injured in Road collision with cab and Private Bus

A 23-year-old engineering graduate and his friend pursuing 2nd year PU were killed and several others injured when the car they were travelling lost control on silk board up

ramp jumped the median and collided with a cab and TN bound private bus head on in the early hours of Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as B Kartheek and Bhagiratha Reddy, 17.

Senior officer told reporters Kartheek from Ananthpur district completed his engineering and pursuing a course while Reddy was from Prakasham district .

It is found that Kartheek was driving the car and Reddy was seating in the front seat and heading towards Hosur.

The duo was returning from a late night party and driving in rash and negligent manner.

While reaching the upramp of the electronic city flyover, he lost control over the high speed vehicle and jumped the median before collided with a cab coming from the opposite direction.

The speed of the car was in such a high speed that the car after colliding with the cab,went further and crashed into the TN bound private bus.

Passers-by rushed to their help and pulled them out from a mangled car and rushed them to hospital where they succumbed,.

The cab driver identified as Mahesh and few others passenger also sustained injuries in the accident but said to be out of danger.

The Madiwala traffic police rushed to the spot and cleared the damaged vehicles to allow the vehicle movements.

Based on the complaint filed by cab driver Mahesh, the police have registered a case against Kartheek charging him under death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving .
