Inter-state drug peddlers arrested by Amrutahalli police recovered synthetic drugs worth Rs.50 lakhs

The Amrutahalli police on Friday busted an inter state drug racket and recovered synthetic drugs worth Rs.50 lakh from them.

Senior officer told reporters,Based on a tip off,a team of police led by inspector,Guruprasad G,and his team raided a place on Jakkur double road and arrested Mubeen Babu,32 and Mansoor,36 from Kerala,red handed while they were waiting for their clients to deliver drugs.

The team recovered 120 grams of Marijuana and 150 grams of Charas from them.

Based on their information the police raided a rented house and arrested their associates,Abhishek Sudhir, 27,Akshay Shivan,28,Arjun Monikim,26,Akhil Rajan,26, Joyal Josh,21 and Prithvin P,23,from various parts of Kerala and peddling sythetic drugs.

The team have recovered 740 grams of Methaqualone, 200 grams of Marijuana,165 grams of Charas,20 grams of MDMA,a car,a bike and seven mobile phones which were being used by the accused to run the network.

The accused were sourcing the drugs from Kerala and peddling into their network in the city.

The police have also detained 20 consumers who were buying drugs from the accused and have been booked under NDPS act.

The police are further investigating to ascertain the network .
