Arrangements under Rural Development Department: Govt

Today, Hyderabad: The state government is planning to set up Uroora Angals in the name of a village market as part of the development of villages in the state. Preparations are being made to start these on the lines of existing nature forests, nurseries, sports grounds, dispensaries and Vaikunthadhams in the villages. To this extent, preparations have started under the auspices of the Rural Development Department. Along with vegetables, the government has focused on the establishment of these to provide income to the gram panchayats along with the convenience of consumers and the sale of crops, products of caste workers and other goods. Angals are established in each village on an acre of land. The government will soon issue orders on the selection of places and the operation. After the formation of Telangana, the government recognized the needs of villages in the name of Mana Uru-Mana Plans. Urura Angadi’s proposal came out of it. During the implementation of the Gram Jyoti programme, the rural nature reserves, Appeals were also received during the construction of sports grounds. Taking all these into consideration, the government is taking action. It is expected to conduct a study with the Rural Development, Agriculture and Marketing Departments and proceed based on that.

Our town… our home..

As the population of Urura increases, people go to nearby mandals and major gram panchayats for vegetables and other commodities. The government hopes that the mangals will be useful to meet their needs locally. The villagers take the vegetables and products to farmers’ markets and angals in other areas and sell them. It is expected that they will get local marketing facility. In every village self help societies are producing large quantities of goods. It is expected that the claws will be useful for their sales as well. Mandal level meetings will decide in which weeks these angals will be held on weekends.

Income to villages…

At present, in the towns and villages where there are yards, a fee is collected from the sellers in the name of Taibazar. It will become a source of income for the newly established Angallu villages. Apart from this, income can be generated in other ways. It is known that orders will be issued soon for the identification of places for these prayers. The rural development department will provide the government with the construction of sheds, paddy fields, water supply and other infrastructure facilities in them.
