People won’t value caste talks: CM Bommai

The State of Karnataka has completed 75 years and the people will not support any caste-based statements. So,they must desist from talking about what is not liked by the people.He will not like to give reaction to such statements,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Reacting to JDS leader H.D. Kumaraswamy’s statement, the CM told reporters here on Wednesday that he did not want to give his reaction to the caste-based statements as the people will decide by considering the functioning of the BJP Government.

At the time of voting,the citizens will consider,who has helped their lives.Which government has supported them? How it has helped them? The voters are very intelligent and mature.Talking about the small castes is of no use.I thank Kumaraswamy for standing by his statement”.

No confusion

Asked about the confusion in the BJP because of Kumaraswamy’s statement, Bommai shot back saying that when there is no confusion among the voters how it will be in the BJP?

Relief possible

On travails of Sharavathi displaced families, the CM said the proposals have been sent to the Government of India and the process is in the final stages.There are possibilities for meeting their demands.

Help to Kannadigas

Replying to a question,he said a helpline has been established to extend help to the stranded Kannadigas in Syria and Turkey following a major earthquake.

We are in constant touch with the Ministry of External Affairs.The citizens are requested to share information with the government about their friends and relatives living in those two countries.
