Centenary celebrations of Tevaramellahalli Government Higher Primary School;Four new classrooms are to be added to school-CM Bommai

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said instructions will be given to construct four new classrooms in Tevaramellahalli Upgraded Government Higher Primary School immediately and to start the construction of toilets in the school within 15 days.

Speaking after inaugurating the centenary celebrations of Government Higher Primary School in Tevaramellaahalli in Savanur taluk of Haveri district on Sunday,he said Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C.Nagesh has reached out to the students in rural areas and understood the prevailing conditions of education.

As many as 8100 new classrooms are being constructed within a year.For the first time in the history of Karnataka that many classrooms are built that too within one year.

In one shot,15,000 teachers have been appointed under the BJP dispensation, and another 15,000 teachers will be recruited this year.The government has sanctioned development works worth Rs 12 crore for this village.

He said this school is 135 years old and a big salute to those people who had thought of starting the school during that time.

My pranams to teachers and students who have made a big name in various fields.This school is bigger than a university.The lecturers who teach in the universities are produced in primary schools.

Primary schools are the foundation for the children and they will develop knowledge in various subjects out of what they learn here”.

Sri Revanasiddeshwara Swamiji of Bankapura,the seer of Sindhagi Saranga Mutt,Primary & Secondary Education Minister B.C.Nagesh, MP Shivakumar Udasi, and former MP I.G.Sanadi were present.
