NDTV now in the hands of Adani! Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy resigned from the board

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:Gautam Adani almost took control of the private media NDTV group. Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy resigned from the board of directors of the company. This information has been provided by the Board to the Bombay Stock Exchange. As a result, the management of the media was almost certain to go to the hands of the Adani group.Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Puglia and SanthilSinnayaChengalvarayan are being appointed as Directors on the Board of Directors of RRPI Holdings Private Limited. With this inclusion, representatives of Adani Group also entered the board.It was reported last August that 29.18 percent shares of NDTV group have gone to Adani. The topic started trending on social media. NDTV later informed that the way their company’s shares were claimed to have been distributed was not legal. Most of the shares held by RRPR, the parent promoter of NDTV, are owned by Adani, but 61.45 percent of NDTV shares and principal ownership are held by Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, founders of NDTV.But this time RRPR Holding has informed the stock exchange that 29.18 percent shares have gone to Adani Group. Because the demand of SEBI ban which was being shown by RRPR was rejected in the end.Apart from this, another 26 percent share has been proposed to be kept in their own hands. The proposal is up to December 5. Adani Group is paying Tk 294 per share to buy those shares. They will buy 1.6 crore shares in all. And then the majority control of NDTV group will go to Gautam Adani.
