Programs to strengthen Kannada Medium schools in other states: CM Bommai

Along with development of Kannada Medium schools in border areas,steps have been taken to improve the Kannada schools in other states too, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating ‘Karunada Sambrama’ organised by News 18 Kannada channel here on Saturday,he said wherever they go in the country people will identify them as Kannadigas.

Kannada is their identity and it must be protected and preserved.”Our land is quite special and different. The new tagline given for Karnataka is ‘God’s Living Country’.

Bountiful Karnataka

Bommai said the rivers which are born in the State flow eastside and protect Karnataka.There are two agriculture zones and the sunshine will be for almost 300 days in a year.

Eight Kannada scholars have bagged the prestigious ‘Jnanpith’ awards and no other state in the country has bagged so much of this award.

Earlier,West Bengal was known as land of litterateurs and would say today Bengal will think and the country will think tomorrow. Now,it has changed and Bengaluru thinks today and the country will think tomorrow.

Will born in Kannada Nadu in next birth

The CM said he feels very lucky to have been born in Kannada Nadu and he wants to be born in this same state to do more for the people of Karnataka.

“My father did Karnataka Ekikarana Chaluvali and also participated in the Freedom struggle and Goa Liberation agitation.The Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held in Haveri district and it will be held successfully”.
