A construction labourer died injuries when he slipped into the storm water drain while returning home in T Dasarahalli in Peenya on Sunday night .
The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh , who reportedly slipped in drain while trying to cross and died due to injuries sustained .
Residents vent their ire against the BBMP officials concerned for shobby desilting work and leaving the drain open which posing threat to the people moving around.
Due to the heavy rains and flooding recently, the BBMP officials cleaned the drains to avoid flooding in future but left the drains open , resident alleged .
The Peenya police have taken up a case of unnatural death and awaiting post mortem report for further investigations .
