Constables job aspirants stage protest demanding govt to relax age limits

After two years of gap,when the state government finally kick started recruitment process of constables at the reserve force from this Monday,over 1.5 lakh aspirants who have lost their chance due to age limits staging a protest demanding the government to relax the age limits.

The aspirants decided to take up the issue legally and also staging protest at the freedom park to press their demand.

The application process for the post of constables at the CAR and DAR will start from Monday.

The state government has stalled the recruitment process from the year 2020 due to Covid and now started the recruitment process 3064 police constables posts for City Armed and District Armed forces .

There are over 1.5 lakh candidates who missed the selection in 2019 for a narrow margin in physical fitness waited for the next year selection but the selection process was stalled for two , rendering them to cross the age limit.

While the Rajasthan,Tamilnadu and Telangana government has relaxed the age limits of the police constables on humanitarian grounds,the state government continued with the existing age limit,depriving the chances of the candidates who were desperate and have genuine concern to get into the force.

We have formed an union and requested the Chief Minister,Home minister and Home department and submitted many representation to consider relaxing age limit,but in vain.

We have even approached MLAs and opposition leaders to take up over concern but in vain.

We have made preparations for many years to join the force but now rendered jobless” a job aspirant from Chitradurga,said .

The state government has relaxed the age for the teachers recruitment , but not for the constables.

We will take this up legally and also requested our representatives to discuss this in the ongoing session,Devraj Nayak,another aspirant said.

We have gathered all the documents pertaining to the issue to initiate a legal fight .We will take this to the logical end and request likeminded people to support our cause, another aspirant added .
