West Division Police arrested 105 Mobile Lifters, recovered 928 stolen mobile phones worth Rs.86 Lakhs

he West Division police of North,South,Central and West Zone police in a special drive arrested as many as 105 persons and recovered 928 mobile phones since the last one month.

This is one of the biggest operation carried out by the city police in the recent past.

The arrest of the people and the recovery of the stolen mobile shows the magnitude of the offences related to mobile phones theft and robbery.

Many of the stolen phones which were recovered were UPI enabled and the city police are investigating whether the gang has stolen the money from their bank accounts linked to the phones.

The police are now having a herculean task of tracing the owners while putting out the details of the phones at the BCP social media website for the people to check with the police and get back their lost phones through IMEI numbers and bills.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West, Sandeep Patil,DCPs,as,Laxman B Nimbargi,P Krishnakant, Vinayak Patil,Srinivas Gowda,ACPs,as,BL Srinivasmurthy,KV Srinivas,Praveen M,Chandan Kumar N,Narayanaswamy,and others,PI,as,Manjunath, Lohith Kumar,RP Ashok Kumar,Subramani,with crime staff as,Jagadish,Gautham,Nagaraj,and whole crime staff who are part of this biggest drive on mobile lifters and a special reward will be given to whole team he added.
