Bengaluru Division Conducts Mock Drill At Yeshwantpur

The Safety Branch of Bengaluru Division,south Western Railway conducted a full scale mock drill exercise along with NDRF 10th Battalion,Guntur was on Saturday at Yeshwantpur yard.

Mock exercise was monitored by Lakshman singh,Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru,along with BV Surash Deputy Chief Safety Officer,Hubballi and Dr.Shoba Jagannath, Chief Medical Superindent and K.V.Gopinath Senior Divisional Safety Officer along with officers & supervisors of Bengaluru Division.

The NDRF team headed by J. Senthil Kumar, Assistant Command, NDRF along with 25 Rescuers and other stake holders,108 Ambulance,Railway staff consisting from medical,carriage and wagon,Signal,electrical,RPF staff attended the joint mock exercise.

The NDRF team and Railway brake down staff erected medical and equipment tents near the Mock exercise spot to display the equipments and give first aid to passengers removed from coach.

At 11.30 hrs,siren was sounded and an accident message given to NDRF stating.

NDRF team arrived at 11.40 hrs and started rescue operations with the latest equipments. Windows were cut and coach top was opened to remove the injured passengers out and first Aid was rendered to the injured passengers by Railway and NDRF medical Team.

A total of 15 passengers were removed from the coach by the NDRF and Railway Break down team.

It was a display of co-ordination and equipments used for rescue of passengers at the quickest time.This exercise was carried out from 11.30to 13.00 hrs.
