City Police Chief asks cops to step up checks at entry and exit points to City to contain growing crime rates in City

In an effort to contain the growing crime rates the city police have stepped up vigil at the entry and exit points of the city .

A senior police officer said a crime review meeting was called by commissioner of police,CH Pratap Reddy,after reviewing the crime he ordered that the rank of Inspector have been asked to supervise the checks at night time especially between 11 pm to 5 am at the entry and exit points falling in their jurisdiction.

An order from the commissioner of Police,The measures was taken in the wake of series of property related offences were on the rise and majority of the offenders are from the neighboring districts coming into the city and getting out with the booty overnight.

Stepping up the security measures will keep the offenders under check,he added.

Apart from this the jurisdictional police have been directed to step up patrolling especially at the sensitive areas and vulnerable points .

The beat police who are also admins of whatsapp group have been asked to sensitize the members of the groups to keep an eye on the suspicious activities and share info he added.
