Haralur Mutt employee killed in road accident

A 57-year-old man was killed and another injured when they slipped from the scooter they were riding after losing control in HSR Layout in the early hours of Wednesday.

The scooter on which the duo were riding skid and they both fell on the road along with the vehicle as the rider failed to notice the speed breaker in HSR Layout post Tuesday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Sripathi Rao,a resident of Haralur and an employee of Haralur Mutt while the injured rider is identified as Karthik,31,sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Senior officer told reporters,Karthik also works in the same mutt were on their way to have food on Market road in HSR Layout.

Karthik who was riding rash and negligent manner failed to notice the speed breaker on the outer ring road (ORR),HSR Layout.

Since he was speeding he lost balance and both of them fell on the road.Karthik’s friend Nagesh MS who was riding on another scooter noticed the accident.

He found both Rao and Karthik fell down sustained multiple injuries.The duo was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared Rao brought dead and are treating Karthik.

A case has been registered against Karthik based on a complaint filed by Nagesh and further investigation is on.
