Tragic shock shrouded among the Hosapalya villagers after a 38-year-old woman ended her life after poisoning her two minor daughters at her field in the outskirts of the city on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Roopa and her two daughters Harsihta, 6 and Spoorthi, 4.
The Magadi police who have registered a case of murder and suicide,said that Roopa is wife of Lokesh,a farmer .
Probe revealed that the couple married eight years ago and said to having no major issues.
The couple had even visited Thirupathi temple a few days ago and returned home.
On Sunday When Lokesh was out of station for work,Roopa left home to a near-by field with the children leving her father-in-law at home.
When she did not returned home worried father in law asked the neighbours to look for her. The neighbours started searching for Roopa and found her dead with the children in the field.
The police shifted the bodies for post mortem and waiting to question Lokesh to ascertain the exact reason for the extreme step.
The police suspect that domestic row could be the reason behind and investigating to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident.
