Four member laptop robbery gang arrested by Soladevanahalli police recovered 110 stolen laptops worth Rs.5 Lakhs

The Soladevanahalli police on Wednesday arrested a gang of four and recovered a 110 laptops worth Rs.5 lakh from them.

Senior officer told reporters,Based on the complaint,the police analyzed the CCTV footage from in and around the area to identify the accused and arrested them.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and it was revealed that the prime accused,who owned a junk shop in the area incurred huge loss in business, roped in three of his associates to burgle ZMR enterprises and escaped with 120 laptops.

The ZMR enterprises situated in Somashettihalli had purchased the second hand laptops from an IT company in bulk to service them and sell it to make profit.

The accused who has lost huge amount of money in business noticed the firm had received a consignment and planed to steal and sell the laptops to recover from the loss .

As per the plan,the accused visited ZMR enterprises on the pretext of customers to check for the laptops and returned without any purchase but to recee the shop.

The accused visited the shop on June 16 early hours,broke open the shop and escaped with the laptops .

All the four accused has been arrested by Soladevanahalli police and further investigation is on.
