A day after former Deputy Commissioner,J Manjunath was arrested and remanded to judicial custody,the Anti corruption Bureau officials searched his apartment situated at Salarpuria in Yeshwanthpur on Tuesday.
The officials recovered the documents which could link to the case.
Manjunath has been arrested in a bribery case after his assistant Chethan Kumar was caught red handed on May 25 while accepting a bribe of Rs.5 lakh from a begur residence for an official favour .
Though the accused confessed and dropped the name of Manjunath the ACB officials did not take the case further.
It is only after the court intervened and pulled up the ACB,the officials swung into action, summoned Manjunath for questions,following which the government transferred him from DC post.
