Officials of the women protection wing of the CCB on Friday raided Social Bar and Restaurant in Church Street and booked owner manager and bartenders supplying liquor to minors.
Based on a tip off,a team of officials led by Inspector Hajaresh Killedar,rushed to the bar and restaurant and caught 19-year-old boy and a girl consuming liquor .
In a complaint to the Cubbon park station, Killedar said that the bar and restaurant has violated the excise rules of selling liquors to people below 21 years .
Based on the complaint,the police have booked the owner of the bar,manager and two bar tenders charging them under various sections of the Excise Act and also under Karnataka Police Act for further investigations.
This is not an isolated cases there are over five cases registered in and around the city against the bar and restaurants for selling liquor to minors .
