ICHR, Apna Samaz and Lions Club Delhi Veg celebrated World

New Delhi -Environment Day on 5th June 2022 at the Embassy of Mongolia
New Delhi. It was a successful event which was well attended Diplomats from
USA,Russia,Korea ,Malaysia ,Bhutan ,Mr Ravi Kant Garg the Up industry minister, Mrs Aruna Oswal, Chairperson ICHR , Dr Upasana Arora from Yashoda hospital, Ex Ambassador Rajan and many prominent personalities attended the event. Mr K L Malhotra and Mrs Aruna Oswal in their welcome address told the importance of the clean and green environment.

World Environment Day was established in 1972 by United Nations at Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment on June 5th 1972. In 1974 the first World Environment Day was celebrated with the theme, “Only One Earth”.
After 48 years i.e., this year The theme of the Day is the same which is being celebrated .
This year The Day is hosted by Sweden to focus on “living sustainably in harmony with nature”. This is the biggest International Day event led by United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) being celebrated by millions of people across the world. environment issues such as air pollution, poor management of waste, growing water scarcity, falling groundwater tables, water pollution, preservation & quality of forests, bio diversity and land soil degradation and many more.
The Appreciation Award was presented to the all supporting partners.
