Traffic police on Saturday organized a session for water tanker drivers on the importance of traffic rules and road safety.
The session was conducted by senior traffic police officials of Traffic Management Center for the drivers who operate mainly from Bellanduru, HSR Layout,Old airport road,KR Puram,Whitefield and other parts of the city .
The drivers were asked to follow lane discipline and maintain speed limits which is crucial for safe driving and prevent any eventualities.
The drivers were also given tips of safe driving,
Earlier on Friday the East division traffic police had launched a special drive against water tankers and booked as many as 258 cases of under various violations .
Among them four drivers were found driving drunk and they have been arrested and vehicles seized as per the rules.
The other violations includes driving against one way,signal jumps,using mobile while and driving without proper documents including insurance, DL and even without uniform.
