Trio Cylinder thieves nabbed,100 Commercial Cylinders worth Rs.6 lakhs recovered by Amruthahalli police

T The Amruthahalli police arrested three persons and recovered 100 commercial cylinders worth Rs 6 lakh which they had taken away from a gas agency on the pretext of buying them.

The accused has been identified as,Suhail Ahmed,34,Syed Jaif Pasha,20 and Ganesh,31.

Senior officer told reporters,a complaint was registered in Amruthahalli police station a complainant stated in his complaint that three persons have approached a private agency seeking to buy 100 cylinders for a program they are organizing .

He said they paid an advance amount to take the delivery and assured to return the empty cylinder and the remaining amount after the program.

Trusting them,the gas agency delivers the consignment of 100 commercial cylinders,which the accused had taken and escaped and switched of their phones.

After realizing that they have been cheated the manager of agency, situated near coffee board approached the police and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint,the Amruthahalli police inspector and his team swung into action and based on local intelligence and police technology skills the team track down the accused,and arrested them.

During the course of investigation the accused confessed the crime and based on their statement the team recovered 100 cylinders,an autorickshaw and a goods van used by the accused for the crime.

A detailed investigation by the team it was found that the accused had planed to sell the cylinders in black and made extra money .

The police are further investigating to ascertain whether the accused had any criminal background.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,ACP,Rangappa T,PI,G Guruprasad,PSI,Lakshmikanth,and crime staff as,Kemparajaiah,Vittal Daddi,Nandish,Narasimhamurthy,Gajendra, Raghavendra,Chandrappa Chikkabidari,HD Hanumantha,and Northeast technical wing staff as,Babu and Ravichandran has been appreciated for the commendable and exemplary work done by them in nabbing the trio cheater and recovered 100 commercial cylinders from them a special reward will be given to the whole team he added.
