Three inter-state Car Thieves targeting high-end car owners arrested by Begur police,8 cars recovered Worth Rs.1.5 Crore

The Southeast Division police of Begur police on Monday arrested a gang of three who were stealing high ends cars and selling them after forging the registration numbers.

The accused are resident of Tamilnadu.

Senior officer told reporters while probing a vehicle theft case,a team headed by Begur police inspector, Shivakumar Mucchandi and his crime team swung into action.

The team based on technical evidence and other intelligence support the crime team zeroed in on the trio hailing from Tamilnadu while they were about to sell the stolen cars the team secured them.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and based on their statement the team recovered recovered 8 Hi-End cars worth RS 1.5 crore from them.

A detailed investigation by the team it is revealed that the trio used to move around Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu looking for cars and steal them.

The accused would then copy the registration numbers of the cars which were scrapped after accidents.

The accused would then prepare fake vehicle records and sell it to their customers across south India.

The trio have been taken into custody to ascertain their inter-state criminal background.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP,East,A Subramanyeswara Rao,DCP,Southeast,Dr Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,Electronic City Sub-Division, Pavan N,PI,Shivakumar Mucchandi,PSI,as, Manjunath Barkhi,and crime staff as,Mahadevaiah,Nanjundaswamy, Ramachandra,Ravi,Sangappa Bajanthri,and others have been appreciated for the commendable and excellent investigation done in nabbing the trio and recovering Hi-End cars from them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
