JJ Nagar Police bust mobile phone snatching gang, 3 arrested,recovered 86 mobile phones worth Rs.13.6 Lakhs

The West Division police of JJ Nagar police on Thursday arrested a group of three persons and recovered 86 mobile phones worth Rs 13.6 lakh from them.

The accused have been identified as,Mubarak, Mujahid and Nasir.

Senior officer told media persons,On Wednesday , the accused were chased and caught by few passers-by when they tried to flee after robbing a phone from a woman pedestrian in JJ Nagar.

The alert passer by handed over the mobile Snatcher to JJ Nagar police and after securing the suspects.

The JJ Nagar police inspector, DC Manju and his crime team swung into action and questioned the suspect and after checking his pockets the team found many mobile phones with them of different company.

The team took them into custody and during questioning the accused confessed the crime and revealed that he and his two other associates are involved in snatching mobile phones from victims in and around JJ Nagar and other areas.

Based on his statement the team arrested other two and a detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the trio had stolen a scooter and used to rob phones from passers-by.

The team grilled all the trio in their own style which led them to spill the beans and based on their statement the crime team recovered 86 mobile phones of different company handsets and a scooter used to commit crime and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP, Kodandarama,PI,DC Manju and his crime staff who has done a exemplary and excellent investigation in recovering the stolen mobile phones from them and the mobile phones will be returned back to rightful owners and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
