The North Division police of Nandini layout police cracked a murder case which took place in broad daylight in which two friends personal dispute turned into violent and he stabbed his friend and killed him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as, Ravikumar a auto driver.
The deceased has been identified as vishwanath,@Kula vishwa resident of Vidyaranyapura and working as assistant at the office of an advocate .
Senior officer with other staff visited the spot and after inspecting the spot they said,Vishwanath was on his way to meet his friend situated in Narasimhaswamy layout at around 10 am when the assailants followed him in Autorickshaw and hacked him with lethal weapons and sped away.
Passers-by found him lying in pool of blood and alerted the police. The Nandini Layout police rushed to the spot and conducted spot investigations.
We suspect that the murder could be due to old rivalry as the deceased was involved in a case reported in Basaveshwaranagar .
The victim,Vishwanath alias Vishwa,39,was an accused in two criminal cases, including one for a murder at Basaveshwaranagar in 2008. He worked as an assistant in a private office in Vidyaranyapura.
The police have collected the CCTV footage from in and around the area to identify the accused.
The team led by DCP North,Vinayak Patil under the leadership of ACP,Malleshwaram sub-division, Venkatesh Naidu,PI,Venkategowda and his team swung into action the team collaborated CCTV footage in the area.
The team with the help of technical inputs and with the police investigation skills the team tracked the accused near Ring road with no time and apprehended him.
During the course of investigation the accused the crime and it was revealed that the deceased was in illicit relationship with the accused wife and it led for a brutal murder.
A detailed investigation by the team the accused spilled the beans and said that,The deceased Vishwanath, 39, had come to meet Ravikumar in Laggere who had helped Ravikumar financially and later the duo had differences over a trivial reasons.
On Wednesday Vishwanath went to Ravikumar’s house and when he was not at home he started chatting with his wife .
Ravikumar who returned home enraged over this and the duo started having heated arguments. In the melee the accused stabbed Vishwanath with a kitchen knife and escaped in autorickshaw leaving him in a pool of blood on roadside outside his house .
The accused has been taken into custody for further investigations.
Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP,North,Vinayak Patil,ACP,Venkatesh Naidu,PI,Venkategowda and his team for cracking the murder case within hours the incident reported and nabbed the accused before he getting escaped a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
