The Sadduguntepalya police arrested a 25-year-old man who attempted to end life by firing three rounds from a licensed pistol over a trivial row with his elder brother,injuring his 22 year old fried in the melee at his house in HSR Layout on Sunday night .
The accused has been identified as,Salman KS, resident of 7th A main, BTM , Ist stage.
Senior officer told reporters,The incident occurred when salman returned home with his friend Faisal Ahmed,22, at around 9.30 pm.
Salman’s elder brother Sana Miandad,a businessman was upset that Salman does not work and does not take up any responsibility, shouted at him for not working and roaming around freely.
Upset that he was being humiliated in front of his friend Salam pulled out a pistol from the drawer and aimed at his temple and tried to shoot himself.
Sensing danger Sana and faisal jumped to snatch the pistol in the melee Salman pulled the trigger thrice .
As a result Faisal sustained injuries and admitted to hospital and said to be out of danger .
panic gripped as it is a residential area for sometime as the residents heard three firing shot from the house and alerted the police.
The Sadduguntepalya police rushed to the spot and taken Salman into custody.
A detailed Inquiries revealed that Salman is short tempered and upset that his brother used to humiliate him for not working.
The accused has been booked under section 308 (Attempt to commit culpable homicide)and also under various section of the arms act .
Salman has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody while the police seized the pistol for further investigation.
