Woman steals gold jewellery worth Rs.11 lakh from pal’s house,arrested by JJ Nagar police

The JJ Nagar police on Thursday arrested a 26-year-old woman from DJ Halli for stealing 11 lakh worth gold valuables from her friend’s house when she went to invite her for her brother’s wedding.

The accused has been identified as,Azra Siddiqa resident of Benson Town.

Senior officer told media persons,that a theft complaint was registered in JJ Nagar police station by a vicitm identified as,Roohinaaz who stated in her complaint that her school friend Azra came to her house at Padarayanapura on December 14 to invite her for marriage and went to her room to change.

Later She stayed at her house for a long time on the pretext of not feeling well and went to the room often.She finally left the house after having dinner .

The theft came to light when Roohi went to the room and checked her wardrobe to find the valuables worth Rs.11 lakh were missing she stated in her complaint.

Based on the complaint,the JJ Nagar police inspector, DC Manju,summoned Azra for questioning during investigation she proved innocence but when the crime staff grilled her in their own style and a detailed inquiry led her to confess to the crime.

Based on her confession and her statement the team arrested the accused and recovered the valuables which was hidden in the water tank of her neighbour house gold ornaments worth of Rs.11 lakhs recovered from her possession.

The accused was later produced before the magistrate and remanded her to judicial custody.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP, Kodandarama,PI,DC Manju,and his whole crime staff who acted swiftly and nabbed the woman a home maker a friend turned into thief has been finally nabbed and stolen property recovered and for the exemplary work done by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
