Laptop thief arrested by kamakshipalya police,Stolen 25 laptops worth Rs.6.2 lakhs recovered

The West Division police of Kamakshipalya police have arrested an employee of an electronic company firm for stealing as many as 25 laptops worth RS 6.2 lakh from the godown of his company for the last two years.

The accused has been identified as,Sumith Singh was caught when Pramod Kumar, Manager of the company checked the CCTV randomly and found Amith walking away with the laptop from the godown after keeping it in his backpack.

Pramod immediately called Sumith Singh on his phone and sought an explanation about the laptop.Since then he has been absent from work.

On suspecion Pramod checked the inventory to find several laptops had been missing from the godown.

Senior officer told media persons,Based on the complaint the kamakshipalya police inspector, Prashanth M and his crime team swung into action based on the technical evidence the team picked him for questioning during investigation the accused confessed the crime.

The team grilled him further the accused Sumith Singh spilled the beans and based on his statement inspector and his team recovered 25 laptops from him,which he had sold to many people for throwaway price and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP, Nanjundegowda K,PI,Prashanth M,and his whole team who has done commendable job and acted swiftly in nabbing the employee of the firm and it is very tuf job for the police personnel to recover the items sold by thieves then also with their own style of recovery recovered 25 laptops a suitable reward will be given to the whole team he added.
