A 19-year-old medical student was killed when a speeding truck ran over her after she slipped from the scooter while negotiating a bad patch of road on Lingarajpuram main road on Saturday.
The victim identified as,Tashvik Bushra, resident of Lingarajpuram was riding in her scooter heading to the college when the accident occurred.
According to the police ,the incident occurred around 11.45 am . passersby rushed to her help but she was killed on the spot. .
Residents gathered and went their ire on the BBMP for not maintaining the road properly .
The Pulakeshinagar traffic police rushed to the spot and arrested Palani driver of the truck for reckless driving and further investigations are on.
Syed Mushtak Ahemed, a father of the victim filed a complaint against the bbmp officials blaming bad road caused the death.
We are investigating the case and issued notice to the officials for questioning, a police officer said.
