The interaction was held at all 44 traffic police stations in the city and police commissioner Kamal Pant accompanied by joint commissioner of police (traffic) BR Ravikanthe Gowda,DCPs as,D Devaraj,and M Narayan,met citizens at Whitefield traffic station.

Over 200 people representing residents welfare Association,IT companies,shops and commercial establishments poured their woes on the launch of Sanchar Samparka Divas about poor infrastructure and bad traffic making their lives miserable and sought city Police commissioner immediate Attention.

Mr,Kamal Pant,along with the senior officers who took their grievances assured to take up the issue with the authorities concerned while promises to redress the traffic issues raised during the interactive session.

Many residents complained that due to the ongoing major civic works like metro,BWSSB water connection,telecom work and rash driving of water tankers are the major concern.

Due to the rash driving of the water tankers, BMTC and KSRTC buses and even autoriskhaws proving dangerous for other road users especially the children and senior citizens.

The traffic police have been blamed stating that instead of managing the traffic,the police are interested in collecting fines.

The tiger- towing vehicles also interested in collecting fines and harassing motorists.

Many residents who are part of the IT companies offered their technology service to help the traffic police.

Many residents promised to enroll themselves as traffic wardens to help the understaffed policemen.

Kamal Pant,Commissioner of Police,after addressing the “Meet the Traffic Police Sanchara Samparka Divasa”addressing media said,We are overwhelmed by the response of the residents and their concerrn.Many of the areas in whitefield division comes under gram panchayath and pose many challenges when it comes to improve infrastructure.

He even said traffic cops should not harrase people on roads by stopping them to check documents. if they found visible offence as violating traffic rules by riders they can stop the vehicles and penalise them main priority should be in regulating traffic and bringing changes in traffic bottlenecks.

However we have assured to take it up at war footing level and assured to get it most of the problem fixed till the next meeting,They were also advised to take care of their health by practicing yoga,daily exercise,or walking and take good care of their family he added.
