OPERATION SAMUDRA SETU – INS JALASHWA COMMENCES EMBARKATION OF INDIAN CITIZENS AT MALDIVES

INS Jalashwa began embarking Indian citizens at the port of Male in Maldives on 08 May 20. The Defence Attaché Male visited the ship on arrival to discuss and coordinate procedures for embarkation.

Baggage disinfection stations, Medical screening and Reception desks at the jetty have been set up to ensure safe embarkation whilst following social distancing norms.

Priority is being accorded for pregnant ladies and children to embark first and bunk allocation is also being undertaken by the ship’s crew catering to age / medical requirements.

The ship will be departing Male on completion of embarkation.
