All political parties should rise above party politics and will have to try to restore peace in Delhi as soon as possible – Manoj Tiwari

In view of the increasing violent incidents during the protest in Delhi, the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah took a meeting of all the political parties of Delhi along with the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Chief Minister and senior officials. Delhi BJP Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari also attended the meeting. Expressing concern over the situation in Delhi, Shri Manoj Tiwari once again appealed to the people of Delhi to maintain peace.

Strongly condemning the violence, Shri Tiwari said that all political parties should rise above party politics to restore peace in Delhi as soon as possible. The violent incidents taking place during the protests are disturbing. All the people in the country have the right to speak and hold peaceful protest but not to disturb the public in the name of the demonstration. He said that strict action should be taken against anyone who is inciting violence.

Shri Tiwari appealed all the BJP leaders to do everything possible to establish peace in Delhi. No leader should do such a thing that causes confusion and portrays the wrong message among the people. Everyone should refrain from making inflammatory statements. Intentionally some people are trying to mislead the common people of Delhi. Efforts have been made for several days to end peace, goodwill, and brotherhood, in which the people are being instigated and provoked.

Expressing grief over the death of Police Constable Ratanlal and nine others, Shri Tiwari said that the attacks on policemen and common citizens are extremely unfortunate and condemnable. I pray for the injured to get well soon. Shri Tiwari said that the Delhi Police is committed to maintain peace and security in Delhi and is performing its duties. Delhi Police should always keep the people of Delhi safe from violent incidents.
