IPL Betting Racket Busted,Duo Held by CCB Police

An IPL betting racket was busted by Central Crime Branch’s Special enquiry squad team in Bengaluru near girinagar under Byatarayanapura police station limits and two people arrested in this connection.
The accused has been identified as, Akshay Kumar Jain ,25,resident of Hanumanthanagar and his associate, Gautam Jain, 24, of Vijayanagar.
Senior Officers told media person that our special enquiry squad team received a tip off that two persons are involved in some suspicious activities and are operating from 3rd floor in a Anugraha building near Girinagar 80 feet road 3rd cross and as soon as the information was received a special enquiry squad team headed by ACP,Subramani and his team rushed to a room near girinagar and arrested the two people, who were involved in betting on the Indian Premier League, a T20 cricket tournament. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime and it was revealed that, They had obtained SIM cards by producing fabricated documents to indulge in IPL betting,and to play match they have rented a room in Girinagar near Byatarayanapura police station and were collecting betting amounts from people in the locality.We have also gathered call records to ascertain the details of other accused who might have contacted the accused to participate in betting,Rs 1.1 lakh in cash,4 mobile phones was seized from their possession following a raid a case has been registered in Byatarayanapura police station and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, T Suneel Kumar,Joint CP crime,N Satheesh Kumar, has appreciated,DCP Crime,Dr.Ramnivas Sepat,ACP,P.T.Subramani, PIs as,K G Sathish,Prakash S and his team has done a tremendous job by nabbing the duo he added .
