Chief Minister Siddaramaiah questioned BJP’s Srinivas Poojari and Ravikumar saying “I am a Shudra -you are also a Shudra -Ravikumar is also a Shudra,then why all this.
He asked this while replying to the debate on the Governor’s address in the Legislative Council.
The chief minister was speaking in detail about the important points of Ambedkar’s speech in the Parliament on the eve of adoption of the Constitution.
Kota Shrinivasa Poojari and Ravikumar intervened and reminded him that we too are Shudras and you too are Shudra.
A strong opposition is complementary to democracy. On the same occasion, he mentioned that Operation Kamala is dangerous for democracy.
He referred to Kuvempu’s ‘sarvodayavagali sarvarali’. Responding to this,JDS member Boje Gowda continued Kuvempu’s speech.
The Chief Minister asked,”Why are you still with BJP-JDS while keeping the aspirations of Kuvempu. Your party is not JDS” but now it is JDC”. To this the Congress members hit the table saying C for Communal.
In the meantime,BJP’s Ravikumar was whispering something to the leader of the opposition Poojary,to which the CM said “Ravikumar, you can teach all that RSS has taught you later, Let me finish”.
