The Byatarayanapura police arrested Police arrested doctors from mysuru his staff for running sex determination racket linked to Mysuru,Mandya and Bengaluru .
According to the police the accused were running the racket for the past three years and conducted around 900 unauthorized abortions.
The accused Dr.Chandan Ballal who runs a private hospital in Udayagiri area allegedly charged Rs.30,000 .
With his Assistant identified as Nisar,a lab technician and other staff not only carry sex determination scan but also abort the unwanted pregnancies.
The accused used to operate a scanning centre at a jaggery manufacturing unit in the outskirts of the Mandya.
The racket came to light when police few days ago caught three men who worked as agents for the racket while ferrying a pregnant woman in a SUV returning from the scanning centre.
The accused tried to escape noticed police conducting random vehicles check but we’re chased and caught.
