Renukaswamy murder case:Court denies bail to Pavithra Gowda,& Anu Kumar citing murder as heinous and gruesome

In another setback to Darshan and his associates,the 57th City Civil and Session court on Saturday dismissed the bail plea of the prime accused Pavithra Gowda and her associate Anukumar, citing the murder as heinous and gruesome .

Pavithra Gowda who is A1 in the case applied for the bail citing the reason for being a woman.However considering the gravity of the offence which court considered the prosecution argument stating that the accused was involved in heinous and gruesome murder where the deceased was tortured unimaginably .

The court while rejecting the bail observed that the presence of accused at the scene of crime testified by two eye witnessed and DNA samples found her on clothes and CCTV footage proved by the investigations about her involvement .

The court also rejected the bail petition of A7 Anukumar on the same grounds which the investigation cited petitioner was present throughout the crime scene.

The Prosecution while objecting ⁠investigation is still pending and there are ample evidence including DNA sample to prove her direct involvement .

The accused had played a major role in abducting the deceased from Chitradurga along with other accused persons and involved in the murder and disposal of body .

It may be recalled that Pavithra Gowda,Darshan along with 16 accused arrested by Kamakshipalya police and the police are close to complete the investigation and preparing to submit a detailed charge-sheet .

Granting bail at this juncture may hamper the investigation,the prosecution,submitted .
