Veeramuthuvel from Tamil Nadu is the project director and Kalpana Kalahasti from Andhra Pradesh is the associate project director in the design of Chandrayaan-3 satellite which has been prestigiously undertaken by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

P. Weeramuthuvel, a native of Villupuram in Tamil Nadu, did his B.Tech and M.Tech in Chennai. After that, he worked for a few years in a private company and then in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore. In 2011, he joined IIT Madras and completed his PhD. His father P. Palanivel worked as a technician in Southern Railway and retired. Veeramuthuvel’s childhood dream was to work in ISRO. That is why job opportunities in various departments of the central government were offered but they were politely rejected. Joined ISRO as a scientist in 2004 and made his dream come true. Worked on a string of challenging assignments in a multi-disciplinary environment. Remote Sensing satellites have participated in the Mangalyaan mission. Previously worked as Deputy Director, Space Infrastructure Program Office, ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore. After playing a key role as Associate Director in Chandrayaan-2 mission, he was appointed as Chandrayaan-3 Project Director in 2019. Construction of new rover and lander was done under his supervision. He played a key role in the team involved in the implementation of the Laser Retroreflector Array (LRA) provided by NASA during the consultation with NASA for the Chandrayaan-2 mission.

Hailing from Assam, Chayan Dutta completed Electronics and Communication Engineering from Tezpur University. Currently working as a scientist at UR Rao Satellite Center in Bangalore. He is acting as the Deputy Project Director for the Chandrayaan-3 project. Command, On Board Command Telemetry, Data Handling Sub System, Data Handling and Storage System, Lander, Spacecraft are the brains of such projects. As Chayan is proficient in this technology, he is responsible for the complete management of these.

Kalpana Kalahasti from Chittoor district studied BTech ECE in Chennai. Father is an employee of Madras High Court. Mother is a housewife. Kalpana aspired to get a job in ISRO from childhood and achieved the goal. He joined ISRO as a scientist in 2000 after completing his B.Tech. He first worked in Sriharikota for five years. In 2005, he was transferred to a satellite center in Bangalore and performed duties there. Participated in the design of five satellites. She is involved in the Chandrayaan-2 project which was launched from Sriharikota Rocket Center in 2018. Usually it takes more than five years to make a satellite. First design, then hardware etc. should be prepared. After all these are done, several tests will be conducted and brought to Shaar. Again tests are done here and connected to the rocket and sent to Ningi. She is involved in the Chandrayaan-2 project which was launched from Sriharikota Rocket Center in 2018. Currently, he is working as the Associate Director of Chandrayaan-3 Project.
