NHEV is Partnering with Joulepoint to develop EV charging stations in Delhi-Agra Expressway

New Delh, As a boost to the Government of India’s ambitious goals to reduce carbon emission in all major cities by 2030 to reduce carbon emission and push towards E-Mobility, National Highway for Electric Vehicles (NHEV)awarded a contract to Joulepoint for setting up eight E-Vehicle charging stations at the Delhi-Agra Expressway.

The new infrastructure will encourage people to opt more e-vehicles thereby contributing towards the larger goal of reducing carbon emission. EV is a new concept in India, however the number of electric vehicles have increased in 2022.” According to a FADA report, 17,804 commercial EV units have been sold in India in FY22, up by 2.5x as compared to sales figures of FY21.
This 200 km Delhi-Agra stretch will have eight charging stations (four each side) which can charge the vehicle within 1-4 hours for a complete run. The station can charge 20+ vehicles in one go.
