A bomb threat letter found aboard an IndiGo flight arriving from Lucknow triggered a security scare at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on IndiGo flight 6E-231,which landed safely at Terminal 1.
According to officials,the cabin crew discovered the threat letter during the final leg of the journey and immediately alerted the pilot. The pilot subsequently informed Air Traffic Control (ATC).
Following standard security protocols, the aircraft was moved to a designated isolation area.
All passengers were deboarded,following which CISF personnel and police teams conducted an intensive security check of the aircraft and baggage.
After completing the security procedures and finding no suspicious object or explosive material,officials declared the threat a hoax.
