Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao directed officials to prepare a revised schedule for completing the pending works of the Okalipuram Eight-Lane Corridor and ensure that the works are taken up accordingly and completed within the stipulated timeline.
Speaking during an inspection of the ongoing and pending works of the Okalipuram Eight-Lane Corridor in Gandhinagar under the jurisdiction of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation,he said that the approach road connecting towards the railway station is currently under progress.

He directed officials to expedite the retaining wall works and complete all the works within the stipulated timeline as per the revised schedule.
He instructed officials to undertake complete cleaning of the box structure beneath the railway tracks connecting Majestic towards Rajajinagar and carry out the necessary works to facilitate vehicular movement.
In view of wastewater leakage beneath the railway box, he directed officials to coordinate with the railway authorities to prevent the leakage.
He also instructed them to pump out and clear the water accumulated at the construction site.
Two box-pushing works beneath the Chennai railway line have been completed by the Railway Department.
He directed officials to take necessary steps to expedite the construction of the retaining wall to be taken up by the Railway Department at the same location.
Around 300 loads of waste,including construction debris and soil,have been cleared from the route where the boxes have been installed.
The construction of a 1,200 mm-diameter drain to facilitate the smooth flow of rainwater is 65 per cent complete,and officials informed that the remaining work would be completed on priority.
During the inspection,Additional Commissioner Venkatachalapathi,Chief Engineer,Vijay Kumar Haridas, Superintendent Engineers,Executive Engineers and other officials were present.
