South Korean President Congratulates PM Modi on 25 Years in Public Office,Hails India’s Growth and India-ROK Strategic Partnership

New Delhi:The President of the Republic of Korea has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years in public office since he first became the Chief Minister of Gujarat,while expressing appreciation for his contribution to India’s development and highlighting the growing strategic partnership between India and South Korea.
In a message posted on X,the South Korean President said that since taking office as Gujarat Chief Minister 25 years ago,Prime Minister Modi had “dedicated yourself to building a better life for the people of India.”
“I pay my deepest respect to your unwavering dedication and extend my heartfelt congratulations on this milestone,”the President said.
Referring to India’s development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,the South Korean President said that India had made“steady strides through manufacturing growth and infrastructure development”and had demonstrated resilience in the face of various challenges.
“Such achievements stand as a source of pride for the Indian people and provide a foundation for expanding India’s global role,” the President said.
Highlighting the India-Republic of Korea relationship, the President described the two countries as“Special Strategic Partners” and said that both nations were “shaping a future of growth and innovation together.”
The South Korean President further said,“We will continue to support the aspirations and growth of businesses and young people in both countries, bringing the shared vision we set out in New Delhi last April to fruition.”
The President also expressed his expectation of meeting Prime Minister Modi again in Seoul.
“I look forward to seeing you again, this time in Seoul,” the President said,while wishing Prime Minister Modi good health and extending “to the people of India the deep friendship of the people of the Republic of Korea.”
The message underscores the importance attached by Seoul to India-Korea relations and the two countries’ continued cooperation in areas including business, manufacturing, innovation, youth and broader economic and strategic engagement.
