On Sunday,Deepak, along with two associates, had participated in a Ganesh procession organised in Nandini Layout. The idol was taken to Chokkasandra lake in Peenya for immersion.
While returning after the immersion,Deepak allegedly stepped on the foot of a person belonging to the rival group, leading to an argument.
