Bengaluru:The sudden transfer of DCP Administration, Kushal Chouksey has raised questions,as he has been shifted less than a month after his previous posting and shortly after being appointed to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).
Mr.Chouksey was among the police officers transferred in a major reshuffle ordered by the state government on August 29.
He was then shifted from the post of Superintendent of Police,Chikkaballapur,and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration),Bengaluru.
On September 21,the Karnataka High Court appointed Chouksey as one of the officers to the newly constituted SIT headed by DGP Alok Kumar to investigate the alleged KPSC recruitment irregularities.
The government has now transferred him again,less than a month after his previous posting and just two days after his appointment to the SIT.
However,sources said the latest transfer is part of the government’s administrative arrangement and will not affect his role in the KPSC SIT.
Chouksey is expected to continue as a member of the SIT in compliance with the directions of the Karnataka High Court.
The development comes at a time when the SIT is gearing up to probe into the alleged irregularities in the KPSC recruitment process.
The HC has asked the government to provide all the facilities to the SIT including station,staff and other facilities required for the probe.
