A financial dispute took a violent turn in the Kuvempu Nagar area of Mysuru after a man demanding repayment of a loan was allegedly dragged on the bonnet of a moving car for nearly 400 metres.
According to police,Dhananjay confronted Gangaraju over the repayment of a loan and stood in front of his car demanding settlement of the dues. Instead of stopping,Gangaraju allegedly rammed the vehicle into him.
Dhananjay reportedly managed to save himself by clinging onto the bonnet as the car sped away,dragging him for several hundred metres and triggering panic among residents in the locality.
Passersby recorded videos of the incident,which later surfaced on social media.
Police have registered a case of attempt to murder against the accused,Gangaraju,a RTI activist and arrested him. Further investigation is underway.
