The CCB Women Protection Unit has busted a prostitution racket operating out of rented houses across the city,arresting four persons,including two women,and rescuing four women.
Acting on credible information received on different dates,officers conducted raids at multiple locations—Padmanabhanagar and R.K. Layout under Subramanyapura police limits,Sundarnagar in Gokula under Jalahalli limits, and N.G.F.Layout under Jnanabharathi police limits.
During the raids,four women were rescued from alleged exploitation.
Police said the accused had been forcing women into prostitution and arranging clients over phone,directing them to the rented houses for illegal activities.
Cases have been registered at Subramanyapura, Jalahalli,and Jnanabharathi police stations.Further investigation is underway.
