Namma 112 Quick Response:Bengaluru Police Rescue Three in Separate Emergencies

Bengaluru City Police personnel under the Namma 112 emergency response system successfully handled three separate incidents on April 20,rescuing individuals in distress through swift and coordinated action.

In the first incident a delivery boy was rescued after getting trapped in a malfunctioning lift at an apartment in Silver Springs Layout under Varthur police station limits at around 1.38 am.

Alerted by a resident through the Namma 112 helpline, Hoysala-224 staff ASI Jagadeesh N and PC Anand reached the spot within 12 minutes and manually opened the lift,ensuring the boy’s safe rescue.

In another case,DJ Halli police saved a 40-year-old man who attempted suicide at his residence near Kavalbyrasandra Bus Stop at about 6.39 pm.

Following a call by his mother to Namma 112, Hoysala-45 personnel ASI Kenchappa and APC Ganapathi reached the location within 13 minutes, arranged an ambulance,and shifted the man to Bowring Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

In a third incident,Vidyaranyapura police rescued a woman who allegedly consumed poison in the Veerasandra–Vaderahalli area at around 11.28 am.

After a TV9 reporter alerted the Namma 112 helpline, Hoysala-169 staff ASI Jagadeesh and HC Somanna rushed to the spot.As the woman was unresponsive, police broke open the door, rescued her,and shifted her to a hospital.

Police said the timely intervention of Hoysala teams in all three cases prevented loss of life and highlighted the effectiveness of the Namma 112 emergency serice in the city.
