Child abuse case takes disturbing turn as 5-year-old goes missing from Victoria hospital,In a shocking incident of child abuse followed by a mysterious disappearance, a five-year-old boy while being brought to the Victoria hospital for treating his burn injuries under unclear circumstances.

According to police conplaint filed at the Vishvesharapuram police station the child,identified as Yashas,was allegedly assaulted by his mother, Sushmitha,at their residence in Vidyaranyapura on April 11.

The mother is accused of burning the boy with a heated spoon as punishment,causing injuries to his legs.The incident came to light when the child’s father returned home later that night and found him in distress.

Following the revelation,a complaint was lodged at the Vidyaranyapura Police Station.Authorities registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice Act for cruelty against a child.

The boy was subsequently taken for medical examination and treatment at multiple facilities before being admitted to Victoria Hospital for specialized care.

However,in a dramatic turn of events on April 14,the child went missing from the hospital premises.At the time of the incident,he was reportedly accompanied by his grandmother,Rajani and shisumandira staff,Anjum .

While Ms.Anjum went to get the outpatient slip for the treatent, leaving Yashas in the care of Rajani.Upon her return, she found Yashas is missing mysteriously and Rajani feigned ignorance .

Despite immediate search efforts within the hospital and surrounding areas, their whereabouts remain unknown. Police have now registered a missing person case and launched an investigation to trace the child.

Officials are examining all possible angles,including family involvement,as concern grows over the safety and well-being of the minor.
